Hey Paul can you tell me – are all new topic threads now queued for mandatory screening before manual approval? Every one of mine has been queued for days or weeks and only ever approved if I have posted a question asking about it.
I think if the process now is entirely manual for each new thread and if they are not approved within a short period (say minutes) then the forum is going to die very quickly.Helping build better businesses and better lives with expert financial and taxation advice. firstname.lastname@example.org www.360partners.com.au 03 9005 4900July 2, 2021 at 1:27 pm #1228501Zava DesignParticipant

In all honesty, I think they’re basically dead now anyway. They “may” be able to build them up again once they’re ironed out the many, many bugs and issues, but it may take a while to get back to anything like it used to be. And once users have found other sources for help and feedback, it may be hard to get them back again.July 2, 2021 at 1:28 pm #1228502
Not quite right. For some reason the software is picking up on your replies – I don’t know why.
All of your replies have been approved but I apologise for the frustration.

so are all new threads supposed to be automatically approved or are they moderated for approval?Helping build better businesses and better lives with expert financial and taxation advice. email@example.com www.360partners.com.au 03 9005 4900July 2, 2021 at 6:55 pm #1228519

There is a combination of the two approaches but the most problematical Sub-Forum is Money Matters which you reply to most.
The other Sub-Forums don’t seem to have the same issues.

Ok. Why don’t you switch to auto approval ? The old forum was auto approval why the change?July 5, 2021 at 11:46 pm #1228562Dave Gillen – FS ConciergeKeymaster

Sorry to clarify @jamesmillar new threads are not moderated unless they are picked up in the spam filters.
-Your recent posts have been put into moderation by the software (for some reason)
-We did not initially know it was happening, so your posts sat (hidden to us) in moderation for a lot longer than usual (apologies)
-I would love to flag you permanently as “not spam”, but we don’t seem to have that ability in the new system (yet?)
Frustrating for all!

Hey Dave. Just FYI the forum tech this is running on is a complete fail. I’m not sure what test you guys are doing but I respond to existing threads hit submit and it doesn’t even post and completely disappears.
Seriously if you want people to take the time to contribute you need to sort this out asap. There could be heaps of people trying to post and it’s just not working.July 31, 2021 at 1:39 pm #1229802Jason RamageParticipant

Just coming back in for a quick minute, although sadly it still doesnt feel overtly welcoming.
That being said, and i know admins do a great job, although there still appears to be a no report function.. at present, there are links in the forum to cannabis sites that i cant raise awareness of… Or am i overlooking the report function.
Stay safe everyone…Jason Ramage | Lucas Arthur Pty Ltd | E: firstname.lastname@example.org P: 61 3 8324 0344 M: 61 412 244 888September 1, 2021 at 12:17 pm #1230524Jason RamageParticipant

@bb1 Mate love that you created this thread…
Admin, am so apologetic for adding to this thread, although the lack or reply nor refinements that are visible (note that something could be going on the background, but alas – we dont know) are what is potentially bringing all the hard work done in this forum for years, downwards.
In all honesty, the forum seems to have had a visual refresh to capture a visual based audience whilst omitting all the operational and important components such as reporting the constant spam, posts, engaging previous posters and other regular activity that used to occur. Maybe its a way to clean out some older posters and try to bring in a new audience, its just odd though.
This post alone has drawn on for some time with replies saying being looked at, engaged, fixed, etc etc – although there doesnt appear to be much of this visible? is it covid restraints? budgetary or other? Or is it a platform that is being considered for retirement or rolled into another platform elsewhere?
Would love to be involved in something in this forum, although there isnt much meat on the bones of the posts i encounter.. actually, by the time i wade through irrelevant posts (i love watching movies with wifi whilst on the road, does anyone else or am i the only weirdo) or spam.
Love some feedback on this, if we are privy to it of courseJason Ramage | Lucas Arthur Pty Ltd | E: email@example.com P: 61 3 8324 0344 M: 61 412 244 888September 1, 2021 at 5:38 pm #1230538
