    Hi everyone

I was wondering if lets say I make a facebook giveaway and the winner has to give me their email in order for me to send them info on how to claim the price, can I add that email to my email list and make it a subscriber or I have to still ask permission from them to make them a subscriber?

thanks if anyone can help me with this

It’s fine to collect email addresses this way as a form of permission based marketing.

However your ‘contestants’ may not know they are signing up to receive updates from you, so you may include a short disclaimer at signup, letting them know what they’ll be singing up for. Alternatively and better still have a link to your privacy policy on your website the ADMA has a guideline on what should be included in Australian privacy principles, see the link below.

Of course. Use Punchtab and all the language is already in place. And its free.

And if you want to know what the rules are — but deciphered so you can actually understand them (I’m an email specialist), go to my blog. I’ve written them into plain English for you.
