    hi there,

I’m re-posting this from the “introduce yourself” thread, as I’m guessing it was in the wrong spot …

i’ve created a web application, and have been approached by someone overseas who likes my product and want’s to include it in a “package” that he will sell.

he wants to re-brand my app and make it work on his own url.
in return will pay me for subscriptions, which i sell for around $200/year.

i was wondering what your option would be of a fair cut of the money should we proceed. he’s indicated that he’s willing to pay more than my current yearly subscription ($200/year). i was thinking more 50/50, minus some of the the web hosting fee’s that i pay monthly.

i intend on doing this kind of thing again (like an affiliate program), so i don’t want to be too greedy, and I see this as an opportunity to get a cut from customers I wouldn’t have had otherwise.

please don’t say “don’t do it” without giving any reasons, as that’s not helpful at all.
looking forward to hearing your opinions :)

Make sure you get a contract. Also, how will you prove how many versions he has sold?
