Matt, we must be talking different languages…

    Absolutely I think we are.

First, before I explain what I actually meant by the above, rather than ignoring my whole post, will you eat humble pie and admit that you were wrong about where Adwords previously/now appear?

Matt, let’s put this as simple as possible. Everyone who does a search online, now and before, will always notice that there have always been ads on the right and some ads on the top for certain search phrases. Common knowledge, no secret, it’s right in front of our eyes.

So, what we are seeing now is more ads filling up the spaces above the fold pushing the organic placings lower than before. Common knowledge, no secret, it’s right in front of our eyes.

Now, to clarify a little more clearly for you, if I have ever done a search online where there have been ads only to the right I have never clicked on those ads in preference to the organic placings.

Are we crystal clear now Matt?

There is no point arguing with you, you aren’t even honest enough to admit when you are wrong, and wiggle like a snake, twisting your own and other people’s statements.

To quote one of your previous posts in this thread where you missquoted me

Slowly but surely, it seems that Google Instant is finally here in Australia also. As Matt mentioned also the top three placements on page #1 are now sponsored ads in lieu of the top three organic results.

This statement does NOT match with what you are currently saying at all – that you always knew they were at the top. You have clearly stated above that you believe that Google advertisments how appear at the top in lieu of organic results.

For the record I NEVER said that anyway. What I did say in essence what that Google places is now taking up more space, which makes the Adwords results that already existed more prominent by pushing down alternatives. This, combined with the addition of extra Google advertising options such as Google Boost and Google Tags has made the organic results less prominent.

To be honest, beyond your changing story we are mainly arguing about semantics in a “he said/she said” type fashion, which isn’t constructive. I wouldn’t have bothered to point out your inconstancy as everyone makes mistakes, but to be honest i’m utterly sick of the fact that your contributions tho this forum are almost all in the form of “SEO Specialists are stupid scammers who are not to be trusted”.

You hate SEO specialists, you think you are smarter than everyone else because you read Google’s webmaster guidelines a few years ago, we get it. I just wish you were able to contribute to the forum beyond making snide one line remarks attacking other contributing members.

Matt, as i said, Common knowledge, no secret, it’s right in front of our eyes.

Focus on something significant, rather than insignificant…

In regards to some of the SEO discrepancies I have pointed out, they are valid points that need clarifying.

I have never claimed in this forum that I am an SEO expert, although I know how to rank well for all my profitable keywords, I don’t rubbish other businesses and treat others with respect where it is due.

Yes you said that – contradicting yourself, after I had pointed out your error in your other statements.

You have so little respect it’s not funny. You constantly make snide remarks about others you don’t like. To claim otherwise is completely contrary to your past comments. Obviously the “where it is due” part of your statement is the clarifier – in cases where you don’t believe it’s due, your treat people with contempt, and I for one am sick of it.

Matt, in a few of my posts I have always claimed you are a good bloke and have even commended you for offering good, honest advice. We all have disagreements, that’s life.

Well said. I think we leave this as we aren’t really achieving anything here or contributing to anything that will help others (on both sides – I’m not saying it’s you), so I suggest we leave it at that.

Phew! We’re all very pleased you guys have made up. We’ve had our fingers hovering over the ‘edit/delete’ buttons for a couple of days.

    Have a fine week,

Feel the love Robert. This is the equivalent of a mere lovers tiff to online marketers…
