Ive been researching grants for my company and its taking a lot of time and the more I research, the more overwhelmed I feel!

Are there any companies out there that write and apply for grants on your behalf, and rather than paying up front for a service, take a % of all approved grants? That makes its risk-free and win-win.

If not, can someone please start one. (and feel free to give me a gift in the for of cash for giving you the idea)

    :)

    Hi Steve,

It may depend on the nature of the grant you are looking at. I know of a firm, for example, who specialises in export marketing grant assistance – and, yes, they take a percentage of whatever the grant/rebate secured for the client is.

Otherwise, I know they have a grant finder and advisor tool at http://www.business.gov.au that might help narrow down your hunt based on industry type/grant type etc.

    Good luck!

If there isn’t, there should be.

There is http://www.pattens.com/ I’ve used Bruce’s services a few years ago for a client with a positive outcome. Most of the grant stuff I’m involved with now is R&D or EMDG and have someone that specialises in this area.

Apparently there are no grants for the fitness industry. Great support from the govts in the middle of an obesity crisis

For rebates such as EMDG and R&D tax incentive – most consultants work on around the 10% of funds returned.

For competitive grants where there is an element of risk involved and you are no guaranteed a return, consultants will work on either all up front fee/ success fee or a blend of both.
