Needing modern, inspired designer to work with on business branding development. Looking for someone who is oraganised and reads de-briefs through
Any fun people keen to help?
January 7, 2009 at 2:17 am #1002507Up::0Can I also put up my hand for this?!?!?
The problem I seem to have is that the really great designers are totally disorganised … and the really business like designers just don’t have the same flare! Oh for the perfect blend of the two …
January 7, 2009 at 2:33 am #1002508Up::0Yes yes! If you are an organised and talented graphic designer start a business called Organised Graphic Designer!! We will love you
January 7, 2009 at 2:36 am #1002509Up::0I’ve used Rechelle Clay from http://www.rclaycreative.com.au & she’s fantastic. Also Michelle from Shel Design Home – graphic design and web design – Penrith – Glenmore Park and Belinda from steelkey designs – professional, creative & intuitive design & programming services – they are all great to work with & have a flair.
You could also try Bree from imageffect.com.au – I haven’t used her services as yet, but from what I’ve seen she’s good.

Up::0Hi,
I am a freelance designer and would love to find out more about your project. To get a bit of a feel for what I specialise in and see some samples of my work you can visit Beni Creative. Feel free to give me a call on (02) 9432 7837 if you would like to chat in more detail.
Kind Regards
BronwynJanuary 8, 2009 at 1:50 am #1002511Up::0Hi Bronwyn,
Your website is gorgeous – you must be so pleased with it. Did you design it yourself?
I’m also work as freelance graphic designer (Design Spring) though my background is in the visual arts (Elizabeth Wheeler)
Sorry to hear that everyone has found designers to be disorganised – it sounds very much like a lot of people’s experience with artists
Don’t worry, we aren’t all like that!
regards,
ElizabethJanuary 8, 2009 at 2:38 am #1002512Up::0I am also a graphic designer, typographer and illustrator that pays a great attention to detail and is very organised with over 34 years experience.
I hope that whoever you work with you will be able to change your mind and that you will realise there are some great designers out there too.
Best wishes, Karen Curran
Testimonials from LinkedIn:
“I first had Karen recommended to me last year, and I have used her services and taken her advice on all matters of graphic design. She designed, from the ground up, my book cover, powerpoint templates, business cards, stationery, website and banner and all were of superlative quality, highly creative and easy on the eye. She works quickly and always delivers on time.” September 8, 2008

Harry Zaphir, BYT Publications“I have worked with many Graphic Designers over the last twenty years but Karen Curran at Unicorn Graphics stands out with her attention to detail and the fact that she always does what she says she is going to do. Karen and I have worked together on some large branding projects and she has added considerable value to the projects and met or surpassed all deadlines.” Lisa Robinson, Spirited Marketing September 7, 2008
January 8, 2009 at 3:15 am #1002513Up::0Thats another vote for Bronwyn’s web site.
Its the best looking one I have seen in a long time, it also loads like lightning and is functional too.Usually web designers only get one of those correct.
How the hell do you get the photo to load this fast and still look so good?

Up::0Hi Elizabeth,
Thank you so much for your feedback. I did design the site myself in photoshop and then I got a great web developer called S3 Group to put it all together for me. I’m very much a believer in outsourcing when I know coding is not one of my strengths. I was really happy with the way it was put together as it was pretty much exactly how I originally designed it and you know how designers can be picky people!
Your site is really great as well. Really simple and fresh and you have some lovely work in there.
I’m loving this forum actually. It’s a great opportunity to connect with people and chat about fun subjects.
Cheers

Up::0Hi Adam,
Thanks! It’s always nice to get positive feedback. I have found I great results when I stick with what I’m good at. I love the creative, design aspect in putting together a website and then I pass on the functionality side to my web developer. That way I can get the best of both worlds! So I’m not too sure how he gets the images to load fast and look good but if you wanted to give him an ask, his name is Jonathan Chak of S3 Group in North Sydney.
Kindest Regards

I just found Jacob’s site the other week after reading some high praise about him in an industry magazine. He’s certainly one very talented guy. He’s got a great future ahead of him.
