Hi fellows, I have a shop to put an offer thru for lease. Unfortunately my private certifier want nothing to do with the nightmare of heritage item in a building.

Any tips on the Development application?
    Have you had a DA?
Mine is a simple fitout I dont wanna get bogged down with the council and spend tons on a government red tape that i may be better off walking away now?

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

    Cheers
    Rom

I haven’t had experience but in your situation, would search for a specialist in heritage buildings.

    Good luck.

    Hi Romel,

Where the office is located? Do you have a fit out plan that I can have a look at?

I am a disability access consultant and have been working with private certifiers, architects and fitout groups to achieve building code compliance for DA submissions. You can visit our website at http://www.amoeba-consulting.com. Please leave the relevant information and get in touch with us via the contact page https://amoeba-consulting.com/contact/.

Accessibility to the heritage buildings tends to be the major issue at the DA stage due to the narrow doorways, stairways, corridors that are not accessible or deemed to be non-compliant to the current building code. An access report or a performance solution report is often required for DA submission.

    Regards,
    Amoeba Access Consulting
