    Hi guys,
    So end of last financial year my accountant suggested registering for gst which I did. Anyway, halfway through the year now and I’m only at $20,000 income so predict I won’t be at the $67000 threshold for having to pay gst. Can I unregister of gst even though Ive been putting it on invoices? Just don’t really understand it all and advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

    Hi Chippy,

    Any GST you have collected needs to be submitted in your BAS. Yes you can deregister GST. But be careful when you do, to stop charging GST. For best results plan it with your accountant.
