Howdy all, new to the forum and looking forward to chatting with you all.

We run 2 websites both essentially selling meat online in the brisbane area, but geared towards to different audiences. Have heard a lot of good things about FS in the past so looking forward to doing a bit of socialising!

    Hi Meat Lover,

Welcome to the forum. As a newish member myself I have found FS a great community with lots of passionate discussion.

Do you have a website for us to look at? Do you only supply the hospitality industry? Do you sell to the public at all? I’m sure the meat lovers (especially those in Brisbane) would be keen to check it out.

Hey guys sorry I thought I had sorted out my signature but I obviously messed that up.

The first website is http://www.correctweight.com.au – which essentially allows people to order extremely high quality, ultra lean meat online, which is all portion and calorie controlled and prepared for you so you just open and cook to your liking. It’s all home delivered too for convenience. Essentially it’s geared for anyone that’s on a weight management plan.

The second is http://www.meatcart.com.au – which is basically an online butcher for the rest of the family (who may not be watching their weight). Here is where you can purchase the more traditional cuts of meat that you would purchase at your local, but again a higher quality offering. For Meatcart, our prices are usually the same as if not cheaper than supermarket regular pricing so for most customers they’re pretty happy to get a better quality product with a similar spend.

At the moment we deliver to Brisbane but are just about to expand outward, and plan on pushing down toward Melbourne by the end of the year.

Demand has been really impressive and we’ve gathered a strong following on our social channels in a very short time too which is great, everything’s looking really positive!

So that’s it in a nutshell, if you’ve got any questions or if I left something out feel free to ask, but as I said we’ve been watching from afar for a while and just decided to get involved recently. Looking forward to it.

As someone overseas who pays more for 100g of beef than the price you show on your website for 1kg, I am finding it hard to look at that website without drooling.

Hi Johhn – Thanks for your kind words. We actually spend a lot of time and money getting great photos done with a professional photographer and everything. It was a full-on photo shoot just with the meat! The best thing was that the models don’t tend to talk back. ;)

If you’re ever nearby though I can arrange a coupon code for you so you can try it out with a nice discount to boot. :) That goes for anyone else on FS as well (if you’re in the Brisbane area) and would like to try it out let me know and I can sort a FS discount or something like that.

The good thing for us though is that the product is actually amazing quality. If you know much about meat grades for example the beef we use is all *Y* grade. Most would get excited at the prospect of getting to eat *YG* beef and *Y* grade is even better again so we make sure that the product backs up the pretty pictures.

We benefit from a lot of positive word of mouth especially after people try it out, in fact it’s rare to attend a BBQ and not have someone say something like “oh my god where did you get this meat from!?” – which is a great feeling :D
