I have finally set aside the time to join this forum. Have loved having a look around and have picked up some great tips.

I am a financial planner in Northern NSW. I have a boutique business and specialise in self managed super funds and direct shares. I love working with my clients to achieve their financial goals and assist them with knowledge and other information that really helps them over life’s little financial hurdles.

At present my biggest challenge is deciding whether to have a website for my business. More than 50% of my clients do not have internet access, some of them because they do not have access to broadband (yes folks I do live in the sticks!!). Any feedback on this would be great.

Otherwise hope to see you all around …

    Julie

    Hey Julie and welcome.

No website? Doesn’t matter I guess for the 50% that dont have internet access but what about the 50% that do? Is there something you could offer online that would improve their service experience?

    Hi Julie,

    Welcome!

I think having a website can only be a positive for you and your boutique business. Although half your clients don’t have internet access think of all the future ones that do!!

    Cheers,

    Hi guys,

Thanks for your quick replies. Not having designed a website before is it better to have a very specific target market or a more general approach.

I would like to attract more clients in the wealth accumulation stage – that is 30’s to 40’s.

    Cheers,

    Julie

    Hi Julie,

Just a quick note to say welcome to the forums.

You are SO lucky to live in Yamba. I hope you eat prawns for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week?

    Best wishes,
    Jayne
