I have a small Garden Design business and an old website that needs either refreshing or a complete renewal. I am looking for an individual to assist with the website upgrade and SEO. My business is intentionally small – I am not looking to expand or take on employees; I just want to find sufficient work for myself and I want to access the right sort of customers. I don’t need a fancy website, I just want one I am proud of and that reflects accurately the work I do. I am not wanting to engage a fancy, expensive website company – am really hoping to find a small business like my own who is happy to help – and not charge an arm and a leg!

Freelance web designers? Just throw a rock out the window – you’ll hit oneOr google “freelance web designer YOUR AREA”, make sure their portfolio has sites you like, and see if they can do one for your budget. $2-3k is a decent budget to work with. You can pay more, but may not get anything extra for your money (and needs). You can pay less, as little as $500-1000, but you’ll need a bit of luck to get the right person at that rate.
Or you can let us know where you live, and you might get a specific recommendation from the forums. You don’t need someone close by necessarily, but if you’re not used to having websites made it can help to be able to sit down with them (or knock on their door when there’s a problem).
Good luck!

Hi Jacquie,Maybe do a little search on the FS Directory – I entered Websites in the search and it comes up with a few, then message them and ask for a link to their portfolio.
Also, I always say speak to them personally and you will get a feel for who suits you, you want to be able to communicate easily with them.
