What is the minimum qualification for government cleaning tender? Does it means, need a website, registered company, more than a million dollar current turnover or a cleaner with trading name and answered all tender questions and meet what they want.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums CFS Melbourne

I can’t answer your questions directly but can take a guess.

I spoke to a couple of Brisbane City Council Tender Panel members recently and they had a scorecard that they marked companies against. You would find the kinds of things you mentioned as some of the criteria.

On the Gold Coast, they also assess if you have Indigenous workers.

There will be a request for tender document and it will spell out the requirements and there probably would not be a whole of government approach which means that each govt department or enterprise would have different criteria.

If you apply, drop in and let us know how you go.

    Cheers

You’ll find extensive detail on the tender website (national government). Each state has their own (Victoria’s) and councils advertise their tenders (generally) on their website, in local news papers and through tender advertising companies.

Each tender will have different conditions, outlined within their tender documentation) regarding who they will accept tenders from. Conditions generally having an ABN, appropriate insurance, sufficient experience etc. to ensure you can lawfully complete the tender you are applying for.

Check out the appropriate websites, sign up and download a relevant tender to see what conditions they apply to your industry.
