Hello Nate,
Looks like you have been given some great advice to far!
The members here on this forum are great!I had the same problems you are facing a few years back.
What I learnt is 2 main things:
1) No matter what research you do you never know whats going to work until you try it.
2) Track Track TrackThe 2nd point was really hard. I found I could not always track. I noticed the calls increased but what were they from. Online, flyers, emails?
In fact I found most call to actions (which you can track) that required following specific links, filling forms or using things like QR codes did not really get much attention. It turned out most people were calling.
So to figure out what was working I developed a system (a benefit of being a programmer). Using this I was able to find out where people were calling from. So it answered the questions and then I knew what was working, what was converting and what the ROI was, allowing me to re-allocate funds accordingly.
It dawned upon me that the system I wrote would be useful to others too. So I worked on it with my team and launched it a few months ago in BETA. I don’t want to say to much about it here as I do not want to be seen as selling my services, just telling you what I experienced. If you do want to know more please let me know.

Welcome to Flying Solo. I suggest you to setup google plus page and get your business listed in google my business directory.
You will easily find all the info online on how to setup google my business.Regards
Smart EraOctober 19, 2014 at 11:51 am #1172208Up::0Joining the local chamber of commerce or equivalent and networking at local business events will help too. Try taking out a stand at a local trade fair and get the word out that way too.

This.I could rent out my own property, why should I use your services?
For EXACTLY the same type of reasons, you should be looking to engage some professional help.
October 22, 2014 at 12:32 am #1172210Up::0Hi nathan … looks like you have had some great replies.
Early on you said you added your business to lots of local directories etc .. this is a good way to increase the number of citations for your business so that when people search on google for real estate agents in your area you are more likely to appear in the local section on the first page.
You also need to keep in mind that your business data needs to be consistent across all of these locations especially your name, address and phone number.
Please take a look at myPresences (https://www.mypresences.com) .. you can create a free account and we will help you ensure you have your business listed everywhere you can and also that your data is correct and consistent and complete everywhere.
All the best.
November 13, 2014 at 1:44 pm #1172211Up::0Hi,
Regarding your efforts with flyers, this can sometimes yield disappointing results.
As stated in previous posts you do need a good clean call to action, be it to telephone you or to visit your web site to supply more information.
But I will say, delivering 250 flyers will not yield you immediate results. Flyers are often a scatter gun approach. We deliver 10,000 at a time with the hope our clients get a 1-2% response. Now, depending on their product and profit margin this can be good enough or not.
For a start up business, it’s about getting your name out there regularly and letting everyone know you are there. And in time your efforts will build credibility. And this takes time.
Flyers, newspapers ads, website etc will all help. And of course, make sure you look after the clients you get. It has taken you all this effort to get them. Love them!
All the best.
