Jayne Tancred suggested I drop a note here. Thanks Jayne!

Great to find this site/forum from BNI. And I look forward to being part of this community.

For my background, I’m a little diverse.

I’m a medical doctor (Doc Martin, yeah I know) turned psychological counsellor (http://www.DrMartinRussell.com)

I have found that psychiatric labels and medication don’t serve most people. People are more skilled and resourceful than they are given credit for. My particular interests are in weight loss (stopping dieting and ‘yo-yo’-ing.), ‘depression’ of all types, sleeping problems, musculoskeletal problems, and problems where people are stuck on the medical ‘merry-go-round’ of psychs, pills, counsellors, GPs etc.

I’m a counsellor who helps you help yourself.

Then, from running my own solo practice, I became a small business marketer (http://www.WordofMouthMagic.com/blog/) and then online marketer (http://www.DiscoverTheSteps.com) and more.

I’ve found that marketing/selling is as honorable a profession as medicine. And just as good medicine & therapy is about relationships, so is marketing. So I look forward to finding some great, lasting relationships on here too.

I’m a marketer who brings out the marketer in you.

All in all, it’s been a fun journey, with much more to come – and rewarding in so many ways, even beyond what my original medical career could provide me.

So… if you’ve read this far, put in a comment, just say Hi, tell me who to connect up with on here, ask a question, or make a suggestion. I look forward to what you have to say!
