Hi everyone, I joined Flying Solo some time ago and I am ready now to dive in and spent some time getting to know people and joining in discussions.

Ready Set Quiz is a new business supplying quiz questions to game publishers, and for trivia quizzes or quiz nights staged by corporate events, conferences and fundraisers.

My interest here is networking, social media, and lending a helping hand where I can.

If you’ve seen the Flying Solo Pinterest page, you may have seen the e-card I put together for Flying Solo: if not, feel free to take a look here. Or drop by and like the Ready Set Quiz Facebook page.

I look forward to meeting everyone.

    Tracey

    Oh. My. God.

You mean you sit around reading and watching old TV shows absorbing trivia and coming up with questions? For a job? For real? I am in awe. And so in the wrong career!

Welcome, looove the business, and hope you go amazingly well!

    Cheers

I’m thrilled to get such a warm welcome here!

TheGoldenGoose, I’m honoured to be in such cool company :) I really like your logo, by the way.

jeanmaddocks, thanks, I’m glad you like the name. It took me a while to get a name I liked (and for which I could get the domain name, too) and Ready Set Quiz felt right straight away.

tonyk, thanks, that’s great feedback. I really do think I will enjoy the forum here.

Steven, thanks for your friendly welcome :)

adrian_gray yes it is like that, but it’s not all hard work ;)

Thanks for the great comments, everyone

    Welcome, Tracey!

What a brilliant career you’ve made for yourself. Like Adrian I’ve long held a secret desire to be a quiz master. My specialist subject? 80s music lyrics – the daggier the better.

I loved your addition to our Pinterest board. It’s great to see you getting so involved in the community!

I look forward to reading your contributions.

    Sam

PS: I’ve hopped on to your site – very nice! If I were a customer I’d love some tips on how to run a quiz, personally I’m curious as to ‘how do you combat/discourage cheating?’! Also in the shopping cart area, how many questions are in a round? I’ll get my nose out now :)

Sam, those are really good things that you’ve mentioned.

I have an e-book called How to run a successful quiz night which is available free after signing up to the email list.

Over the next few months I’ll be adding more free e-guides for email list members and one that I have planned already is ‘How to stop a quiz night cheat’ which will deliberately be a bit fun and tongue-in-cheek but there will be useful tips too.

Thanks for asking about the number of questions in a round: there are 10 per round, which I’ll make sure to point out in the shopping area immediately :)
