New title records have become available at the Victorian Archives making historical house/property research a lot easier – straight away I was thinking of how to market this.

One of my first thoughts was – Real Estate Agents.

I figured that some people looking to buy a house in some of Melbourne’s older suburbs would be interested to know the history of the house and the land itself, and this could be a great little extra that could be added to a property description or folder on open for inspection days, at minimal cost. Estimates at this stage are at $25 per property with full colour PDF title documents provided going back to (in most cases) the mid to late 1800’s.

First off – to any of the real estate folks on FS – is this something you would consider?

Secondly – how would you want to hear about it?

I could advertise in the REIV magazine, which would be great coverage but the cost is prohibitive to me. Business is growing, but slowly!

And I know how much I detest unsolicited emails/mail so I figure that may not catch the attention of most businesses.

    Any feedback would be great!
