Im new to this forum ,

Im looking in to import gold and silver jewellery items from Srilanka to Australia.

I have a mate in Srilanka who owns a factory and he is willing to send me jewellery through an air freight service .At this stage , the cost of the jewellery is approximately 10000 AUD (The purchase price of the goods) . Dimensions of the consignment is around (20 x 15 x 10 cm) and 2kg weight .
I want to find out the most cost effective way to import these to Australia .

I would really appreciate if anyone could give me some more information about the process .
Which is more appropriate , door to door parcel service ( FedEx /UPS ) or commercial freight ?
Is there any workaround to get a GST concession ?

    Appreciate any responses. Thanks.

    Hi Sara,

For valuable freight like yours air is best. The process is different depending on how you go about it however the rules and regs are quite stringent GST included.

There are ways to save though. PM me and I can assist.
