First things first – have you a market for your products.
Have you got warehousing and distribution in place.
Next would be sourcing your products – I imagine you are probably thinking of China but make sure you get plenty of samples and then have someone over there to inspect the goods before they leave the factory – this is very important .As for importing – depending on the size of shipments you are looking at air or sea and the number of different charges to go with them. Next would be customs and finding out what you would have to pay in duties – you would probably be better speaking to a customs agent on this one.
    Hope this helps.

…and then you need to look at your figures. What will be the total cost to land the goods here? Cost to distribute? Operating costs (phone, vehicle, insurances etc)? What will your markup be? Will your retailers be able to make enough on the products to want to stock them?

    Wendy :)

Even before going into business there is the need to have the attitude to find and access resource and learn to dig and discover all off your own initiative. .

Thus: on the grey bar above, is a link to the search tool for the forum. Suggest you use this to read the gazzillion existing threads with the same/similar questions you have asked and good threads of advice/input/opinion.

Think of it like a library ;)
