Up0The update.
I was in the first segment – credit card fraud.
From 645 to 1130 last night, we were invoicing & packing.
The calls started almost as quick as the segment finished, along with the “HEY!!!, I saw you on TV – you didn’t tell us” SMS run from friends. (yes, I do have a couple)From 3 this morning, I continued – letting my chief packer rest her weary head. Orders were still hitting the system at 4 AM.
4 times since last night, we’ve had the “we’re going to freeze your account” email from paypal. 4 times we’ve cleared it. It is SO nice to see some of the outlay coming back.
Stock, well – it’s dropping. Quickly. As this was not expected & only 2 days to prepare, what we have is it for a week or so.

Up0Today was Recovery Day – and it is pretty much over.
44 orders sent on Monday, 35 today.
Out of stock of so many lines already.
About $800 spent at the PO in 3 days.Calls & orders are still coming – which is a good thing.
The number of times I’ve had ‘thank you for providing these’ in an email or that the end of a call. I won’t shock you – they weren’t teens…In a PO today & the lass is looking at me for a few minutes:
“Have I used a wrong bag?”
“No”
“What’s wrong?”
“You look like the guy on TV last week”
“Oh, OK”
“Are you selling lots of stuff on ebay? What do you sell?”
“Wallets, but not on ebay.”
“It is you – you were on TV on Friday for the cards and wallet stuff”What could I say – handed her a card, said “yes” & went.
Then got similar from the checkout-chick in Woolies.Mrs wandering around with a big smirk going “tv star, tv star” doesn’t help much, either.
As for the luck…. put $10 in a pokies, left with 130, then 30 or so from lotto.
This just might have been that one week where the gods smiled at me instead of laughing hysterically.Would I do it for ACA also if they ask?

Up0This is just awesome HB! Every time I read an update on your story it puts a big smile on my face.
I’m wondering if you should dedicate a percentage of your profits to engaging a PR agency and seeing if you can replicate the results… perhaps one of the fabulous PR types who frequent the forums can offer some suggestions for capitalising on your success.
