I’ve been having a problem recently that whenever I’m on the site, if I click through to “new posts”, or any threads/posts at all, the page defaults back to the overall “topics” page almost immediately.
If I then click the “back” button, it usually then stays on the page, but if I go to comment or click through to the next page on a longer thread, it will jump back to the topics page and I need to hit “back” again.
Anyone else having this problem?

Up::0Hi Anna,
Sorry that you’re experiencing difficulties
Peter is on holidays for a few days, but I’ll let him know about your issues and he and the tech team will investigate.
Please bear with us over the long weekend, and we’ll get it sorted ASAP.
Cheers,

Thanks for taking the time to report it.

Don’t have problems with any other sites, but I’d been having issues with logging in (would say I was logged in, but if I tried to post it would tell me I needed to log in) and Peter resolved that issue for me, which is about when this issue started.
Usually once I’ve hit ‘back’ the page sticks, but it’s still quite irksome :rolleyes:
April 23, 2014 at 12:12 am #1163204Up::0Hi again Anna,
I hope all is well. Just back from a break so I’ve been checking this one out.
It’s a very odd one, and not something that’s been reported before – certainly sounds annoying.It doesn’t sound to me like it would be related to logins, but one thing to test would be to logout of the site/forums and then click on topic headings or the ‘today’s posts’ link across the top when you are not logged in. That will at least determine whether it’s something to do with the logins and we could reset again if needed.
Something else to try (when logged in) would be to try using the ‘quick links’ drop down menu at the top of the page and selecting ‘today’s posts’ (instead of ‘new posts’) to see if that might work without jumping.
If you can bear it, it might also be worth trying the links in another browser like IE or Safari if you happen to have one installed. That might at least be able to identify if it’s a browser issue.
A hassle I know! Let me know how you go with those. I’m happy to reset your password if needed.
Cheers,
PeterApril 23, 2014 at 2:18 am #1163205Up::0Thanks for the suggestions Peter. I’ll find a spare 5 minutes to try them out.
And yeah, didn’t know if it had anything to do with the logins, but thought it worth a mention since it started happening after the reset you did for me.
Will get back to you to let you know how I go
