    Hi
we have been running a contest on our new pet deals site and Facebook. We have 10 prizes, and are giving 2 away each time we hit a certain amount of FB likers. Entrants also have to register at the pet deals site :)

Has been great, as we don’t give anything away until we get a guaranteed amount of likers/subscribers, we still have four draws to go and the FB target is 1000 likers at the end of it. Subscriber list will also grow in conjunction.

We just drew the first two winners, one had only entered this evening, so she was online and is very excited! Still waiting to hear from the other winner.
Hopefully they will tell all their friends and family as well, and get them to enter.

    cheers
    Angela :)

That’s great Angela. How many entrants have you got so far?

Congratulations Angela – in my experience of running competitions/giveaways for businesses on Facebook and Twitter they can be very successful. I once launched a competition on Facebook for a brand which received just over 800 likes within 24 hours which is incredible.

My experience within this field led to launching a social media marketing platform specifically for such competitions called http://www.bigaussiegiveaway.com the USA version has sold over 1,000 days in total, to date: http://www.bigamericangiveaway.com – would love to hear your thoughts.

I have 145 new subscribers directly from the contest, at a cost of $8.00 :)
If I can get that many for the next four draws I will be happy, and probably do this as an ongoing promotion with various prizes.

I had a quick look at bigaussiegiveaway from a link you posted on an earlier topic, forgot to go back and have a proper look. Thanks for the reminder :)

I am pretty happy with the results I have had with my own contest, so if I can multiply the results by getting more exposure, that is definitely something I will be interested in. thanks again :)

I am impressed Angela with the number of entries you got. I always thought most people can’t be bothered with competitions these days, but you have inspired me to give it a go.
