Labelling requirements cleaning products

Hi Soloists,

I would like to import a cleaning product for sale to consumers via retail and online. I note there are requirements for safety advice. I work from home: Is there a legal requirement to put a local address on the label or who the importer is? The other forums talk about the food standard requiring it but I cant seem to find a requirement outside of that. I note that many products list their address, but is there a technical requirement for it?

My best advice would be to contact a local chemical company and ask them on which government website, standards relevant to you are published.

I did this search and it has some interesting paths to follow.

Yes I agree with Paul – a local chemical company would be the right direction. I have a client that creates her own makeup line and for her labelling we need to have an address on the labels by law so I would think it would be the same with the cleaning products.
