    Hi

For my small fashion store, Ive decided i will give store credits instead of refunds, since i’ll check the goods before the purchases to ensure they are not faulty.
I have no clue where to buy a store credit book. I have a receipt book… do i just use that and write details of the exchange on that?

Another thing, Im not sure if there is a lay-by book or i also use my receipt book and write deposit paid, amount owing, full price of item and when the rest is due?

thanks guys, this forum is a big help to a complete newbie like me :)

    Hi Linda

Do you have a store computer or laptop?

Although you are only a small fashion business, I would suggest using a computerised system that can track your customer details, sales, credits and laybys. The paper system you are using may have a greater margin for error, possibility of losing information and it might not be easy to chase your customers for payment without creating more paperwork.

I have a free invoicing program that I provide with My Money Tracker for Business system. Let me know if you need any more advice as to where else to look?

    Jeri
