Hey hey.
For the past couple of weeks I’ve been having trouble with the forum. Whenever I visit, it says I’m logged into the site, but I’m not logged into the forum. I have to sign out of the site, and then sign in again, and then I’m logged into the forum.
I thought it would go away on it’s own as no one else seems to be having this problem, but it persists. I can’t think of any changes on my end that could have caused this.
Can you help, forum gods?
Steve
PS. I’m using Chrome on Windows 8.
November 14, 2013 at 10:51 pm #1154614Up::0Have you ever changed your password for the forum separately? I know I did recently to access Tapatalk. I just requested a lost password through the vBulletin script, separate to the main website accounts.
Reason I ask is I experienced the same problem as you.
I seem to have fixed things now by just changing the password again through the Flying Solo account. It obviously just gets all out of sync.
So Tapatalk is off again but I can at least stay logged in to the forum on the desktop.

November 15, 2013 at 12:11 am #1154615Up::0Thanks James and Steve,
Yep, I’ve had the same problem. I tried pretending it wasn’t happening but that didn’t work. So I have now changed my password and we’ll see how that goes.
All best,
Lindsay

Same problem… use chrome and it recognises me although nothing comes across with the login in, so have to log out and re log in again (and forgets who i am so have to type everything again) to get to the boards and see refreshed posts etc..
Maybe i will go change password, hoping that assists..

Thanks for letting us know about this.
We’ve been getting a few reports about this something has gone a little haywire Seems to be Chrome related where our forum system is logging people out!
Logging in and out should fix it in the meantime but I’ll get back to you with a longer-term fix.
Thanks for your patience.
Cheers,

I’m having this problem with Firefox so probably not just Chrome related.
All best,
Lindsay

Thanks for letting us know. We’re finding that in testing too – but it all seems to be a bit random As James noted we’ve got two systems with a single sign-in and it looks like we’re out of sync. We’re making some changes to the forum software now to try and prevent it kicking you out!
Cheers

JasonHi Jason, sorry about this!
In the interim, the best option is to log out of the site then log back in (clicking ‘remember me’) and that should get you into both the forum and the site – at least for the session.
I’ll keep you posted.
Cheers
PeterNovember 15, 2013 at 5:55 am #1154621Up::0Ditto, to above issues.
Plus, a couple of times recently, the site has disappeared completely (briefly, but won’t reload on a refresh). When it has come back up it appears to have dumped all users, logged in or not. There’s say 200+ viewing, site goes down … when it comes back up, there was less than 10 … ?
First time it happened, I thought it was weird … but second time, definitely a gremlin.

Looks like we may be making some progress on this one.
Doing some more testing today so hopefully we’ll see things improve so you don’t have to logout and login so often
I’ll keep you posted.
Cheers
