I’m looking for active blogs, podcasts or social media profiles to follow for tips and inspiration.
Particularly on the subjects of business growth, digital marketing/banding, and graphic design.
Even more helpful if they’re based in Australia.

https://www.thinkwithgoogle.com/intl/en-aunz/
Another one that I subscribe to (weekly editions), that tends to be more technically orientated (latest frontend info) but often has design links to pretty good UI and UX and web design stuff;
I found some on twitter just searching but the marketing ones tended to drown your feed once you follow them.

I help service professionals create content that builds trust, attracts leads, and generates sales.July 21, 2018 at 9:46 am #1212460Up::0Hi Heylouise,
Unfortunately, much of the articles on the topics you specifiy are USA centric. That said they often point to future developments in Au markets.Beware! There can be huge differences. SEO is one where Australian search market competition can be so low vs the USA as to make many US SEO articles inaccurate or irrelevant. With social media I expect there will be similar discrepancies.
You are also likely to find that most articles are written by people with very little education, experience or training in marketing or any of the digital marketing channels.
The problem has become so prevalent that I stopped subscribing to various blogs, podcasts and email services. It seems what we now have is a plethora of content generated by very skillful writers who have very limited knowledge and experience of the topics about which they write.
I strongly recommend you get into the habit of checking any article author’s Linkedin profile before you accept the accuracy of its content.
I subscribe to these usability and market research sites:
Some general digital marketing news:
eMarketer Daily
Media Post There are a number of subcategory subscription services available from this site. You still need to be careful about the quality of the research and how it may or may not apply to Australia.
The beauty of writing articles around new research is that it enables you to show you are an up-to-date leader in your field.
July 27, 2018 at 2:33 am #1212461Up::0In my wee opinion, the best business podcast is Dent (interviewing a lot of Australian business owners)
The marketing news I like is: MarketingProfs today.

He might get a lot of haters but this guy is a beast when it comes to Digital MarketingAugust 8, 2018 at 9:05 am #1212463Up::0AdamStewart, post: 261179, member: 111875 wrote:https://neilpatel.com/blog/

Hi Adam,
The problem with this topic is that there is no quality/accuracy control over the answers.I don’t know how many haters there are of Patel but I do know that in the digital marketing segment of SEO where he started, there are many experienced folk who strongly disagree with much of his article’s research, assumptions, logic and conclusions.
He seems to be a full time content generator who started in SEO but who has
now diversified into all matters related to online marketing. Could he be simply chasing the money? That does not make him an expert in any one of the segments.
- What areas of digital marketing do you consider him to be an expert?
- Why do you think he is an accurate expert in these areas?
IMHO, it is extremely easy to influence opinions when the person being influenced has little knowledge or experience of the subject.

I get what you are saying and I agree with most of those points,
What I like to see in an expert is someone that is able to produce the goods,
Neil produces the goods time after time. Some of the information he puts out can be very controversial though.August 9, 2018 at 4:40 am #1212465Up::0A great list developing here! Perhaps an article to come?!?
An oldie but a goodie, but I still like the often thought-provoking musings of Seth Godin.
If you’re after some satire/humour, I recently binge listened to listed to the thought-dogs of Dexter Guff http://dexterguffband.com/
