Here is an interesting read about M-commerce in the USA.

Possibly it would be worth looking at a mobile enabled site as phone accessed web is increasing exponentially in Australia as well.

I was over in the States last week at a Dan Kennedy Event – and this was THE hot topic … biggest trend prediction for the next 3 years. Everything is going to go mobile … Phones are going to become all in one devices that include not only phones and the internet, but also really high quality video cameras, allowing video to be shot and uploaded instantaneously. It’s going to be an interesting time!

The problem with America is that it’s not Australia.

That had always been the case for technology, fashion and trends of most kinds.

Good to watch though as Australia is too big a country to miss out on something like this.

The growth of data in mobile plans isn’t only limited to those on contract phones it is also on prepaid plans. Add to that the next generation of phones are all going to be web friendly and you have a very strong growth curve for mobile access to web sites. It may not be in the US volumes or maybe in the speed of take up it will be a customer experience that you will not be able to ignore and nor should you. Unless you track it you will not be prepared for it.
