    What is altruism? Put simply, it’s the wish that other people may be happy. And, says Matthieu Ricard, a happiness researcher and a Buddhist monk, altruism is also a great lens for making decisions, both for the short and long term, in work and in life.

    I’m currently reading his book:

    I really enjoy his balance of seeing spirituality from the mind of someone scientifically minded, very insightful. All his talks have been great motivators.

    If only it were this easy to get people to think about others like how we think about others. If only more people in the service line could be this giving, I think the world would be a better place. And just like the OP says, not just in business, but in every day life!
