    Hello everyone,

I hope that this thread finds everyone well.:)

    My name is Hakan.
I have worked in a variety of jobs in the past and owned a couple of businesses also.

My current idea, involves introducing a quality brand of casual footwear to the country.

My fears are; not knowing where to start and losing the exclusivity to the big guys here, due to their buying power.

Any encouragement and or guidance will be immensely appreciated.

Best of luck to everyone on their endeavours.

    Regards,
    Hakan

    Hello Hakan,

If you are worried about exclusivity then you need to address that with your supplier to ensure you get the time and/or agreement you need.

If not move onto the next business idea.

    Thanks Gizmo,

I completely agree with your opinion.

I just need to figure out how I’m going to go about my proposal to them.
I certainly don’t want to house a stockpile of shoes of various sizes, colours and styles.
I need to find a way of being a ” representative” of sorts and put orders through as required. I don’t plan on selling online but instead, hitting the big players and department stores… any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!!

    Good luck.
Most exclusivity deals I’ve seen = warehousing decent stock levels.

A good business plan is the best way to feel empowered rather than defeated, in my experience Hakan.

If you’ve never put one together before, this article is a great starting point for your research: Writing a business plan.

    Hope it helps,
    Jayne

Hi Hakan, welcome to the forum.

These forums are a great source of info.

So you are leaning more towards wholesaling rather than selling retail?

    All the best.

    Hi Jayne,
Thank you for the link. I have never put a business plan together in the past but I’m certain that there are benefits to creating one.

    Thank you,

I feel that wholesaling might be a better approach, for me. I need a little more time to consider the best option.
