    Hi all,

My name is Sophie, I live in Sydney and run my own business called PrecisionPays. I provide MYOB training courses in the city from Beginners to Advanced. Also I am an MYOB Certified Consultant so provide onsite consulting and support to businesses across Sydney.

Been trading for 4 years now. Biggest hurdle this year is SEO! I’m addicted to researching all things SEO at the moment to get to the ever elusive front page of Google…

Hope to be in touch with some of you very soon!

    Warm regards,
    Sophie de Somerville

    Welcome Sophie!!

I’ve just downloaded a free trial version of MYOB to try to learn the ropes. I dont think I’ll need it for my business just yet, but I’m hoping to offer my clients a bookkeeping service, as an add on service to my virtual assistant business, and thought I’d better learn how to use MYOB. I believe it’s one of the more commonly used packages out there.

    Anyway, good luck :o)

    Regards,

    Hi Sophie

I personally have done a lot of SEO research but my problem is action. The knowledge I’ve gained is great and seems doable in practice – but I have no idea how to apply it.

I am strictly a numbers/strategy person and using html language just doesn’t stay long enough in my vocabulary.

Wish you better luck than me! There are some great SEO specialists on this Forum so I’m sure they’ll be of great help.

Will keep your contacts too as I often have clients who seek MYOB training.

    Sophie,

    Welcome to the forums!

I loved your website, great work with that!

I plan on sometime this year transferring everything over to MYOB and as I’ve never used it before, I was actually keeping my ear open for a training course like this.

I’ve bookmarked your page and will get in contact when the time comes =)

(PS: Love the option for the online training!)

    Hi Sophie,

In case you hadn’t already spotted them, here’s a link to some articles over on the main site which can help you bone up on SEO:

Philip Shaw’s articles, in particular, are worth checking out http://www.flyingsolo.com.au/p249013082_Philip-Shaw.html and this article by Aidan McCarthy provides a good overview of the topic, and there’ll be more to come from Aidan, too http://www.flyingsolo.com.au/p312636751_Getting-your-website-on-Google.html

    Hope this helps!

    Sam
