You can just go into file manager and create new file (in the public_html directory normally), call it index.html and save it.

It will hide the directory while you build a site under it.

There are some other ways to do this that are more secure, although this can help you out for a quick fix.

I have already got my website built at http://www.handcraftsupplies.com.au/store

I just need to hide the files so it doesn’t show up only show the website

What are you trying to achieve here?

What are you going to display on your home/index page?

I would like to have http://www.handcraftsupplies.com.au/ instead of http://www.handcraftsupplies.com.au

someone said on another forum that I need to create a redirect so my root directory points to http://www.handcraftsupplies.com.au/store. instead of http://www.handcraftsupplies.com.au

    Quick Fix:

    Cpanel >> Domains >> Redirects >> Type 301 >> http://www.handcraftsupplies.com.au >> Redirects to >> http://www.handcraftsupplies.com.au/store >> Redirect with or without www. >> Add

You really want to look at getting the actual shop/folders built on the root IMHO. For now though, this is just a quick fix to solve your problem.
