    Hi all,

I’ve been working a new online service which helps website owners to monitor user satisfaction, receive feedback, and extract testimonials from the most satisfied users. My website is http://emotively.net.

I have developed an initial version and now I need to find some website owners to test it for me. Your website doesn’t have to receive a lot of traffic – I’m just looking for some sites who are willing to give it a go so I can find out what works, what doesn’t, and improve the product as much as possible! Of course, I’m not charging during the trial period and there is no obligation to continue using the service (you can discontinue at any time).

You don’t need to be super technical to use or install the service either – although it would help to know a few basics about how to manage your website. If needed, I’m happy to offer technical assistance to get started.

Here’s a short summary of what the service offers:

    1. Collects user satisfaction scores (ratings between 0 and 10) by:
      • A widget installed on your website; or
      • Emails sent directly to customers upon your requestIf user satisfaction is below a certain threshold, we ask them to provide a short feedback response.
    2. If user satisfaction is above a certain threshold, we invite them to write a testimonial
    3. A separate ’display testimonial’ widget embeds your testimonials directly into your website.
    4. A simple administration console to review feedback, approve/reject testimonials, view statistics, and configure widgets.

Feel free to signup on our site, message me on this site, or email me at: joe@emotively.net

Would love to hear from some of you!

    Joe

Just thought I’d let you know that the “Features” link in your nav doesn’t work.

Thanks for the reply guys – apologies for not getting back earlier!

Back in late December, I stepped back and reviewed the product offering and made a decision to simplify it a lot and focus on doing less but doing it better. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve reworked things so that we now focus just on customer testimonials. It works like this:

    1. Customer installs widget on their website (just include javascript snippet)
    2. The widget displays two badges, one which says ‘Write a Testimonial’, and the other says ‘View Testimonials’.
    3. Once testimonials have been created, they can be shared via facebook, twitter, google, linked in. If someone sees the testimonial on these networks and clicks on it, they are directed back to the original website and the testimonial displays as a modal overlay.

The pitch is that testimonials are a really effective way to increase sales conversion as people tend to put a lot of weight on what other people think when they make purchasing decisions. The value proposition of our offering is that we’re making it really simple to get customers writing testimonials, display them on your website, and amplify the audience across social media.

It’s not a space that’s free of competition by any means. However, there is a lot more focus on ‘Product Review’ type offerings, which are better suited to websites doing e-commerce sales. I’m hoping that there is a vast number of web sites where the business is more service based than product.

Thanks again for your time, please checkout the website if you can, and I’ll be sure to keep a more frequent eye on the forums :)

    Joe
