    HI All,

I hope everyone is having a great day. I am trying to grow my Virtual Assistant business so I wanted to hear from anyone who may have some tips/advice on how to do this. My current clients have been word of mouth and some via Gumtree.

    Looking forward to the responses!

    Kristy

Hi Kristy, welcome to flying solo. Unfortunately the is no magic bullet when it come to finding new clients.

I guess the best way is to connect with other businesses that deal with your target market. People like Bookkeepers,Accountants, IT specialist, and even consultants and coaches like me. I am happy to add you to my list.

Try to join a regular grass roots local business networking group in your area. One that has members that could be your ideal client. This can be a fantastic tipping point to trigger a lot more word of mouth opportunities.

Hey Kristy, network marketing is a great way to get new leads, and there are several ways to go about it.

Forums and social media are a great way to go about it, you can also get involved in Meetup.com and start making real world connections.

You could get involved with your local chamber of commerce, and make sure you’re present whenever networking opportunities arise.

The key isn’t to be completely focused on yourself because you’ll turn people off. It’s best to be open and friendly, and not immediately launch in to a sales pitch. Many people will go to networking events with the sole purpose of talking about themselves and their services which doesn’t usually work out too well.

Just enjoy socialising and you’ll find things flow a lot more easily.
