    Hi,
I do have some contacts in both China & India but it depends on the type of Jewellery you are looking for. Price / Quality / Quantity …. You need a really clear brief on this.

Sourcing agents usually charge a commission on top of the Fob price of goods – (FOB means Freight on board or Free on Board – which means that the cost includes delivering the goods to the nearest port but you are responsible for the shipping from there and any other fees with it landing in the final destination and this means you are also responsible for any insurance.

Commission can vary but on average you would be paying anywhere from 5% – 15% depending on the services a sourcing agent provides.

So if your Fob price is US $10 and the commission is 15% then your cost is US$11.50.

Commissions are usually invoiced separately to the goods.

    Hope this helps.

    Elizabeth
