    Hello All.
I am a sole trading non gst registered electrical contractor based in the Whitsundays.
I have traded since the introduction of gst, my present business occupation i have been engaged in for 6/7 years. In my mid 50’s so not looking to expand, kis.
GST threshold is my main concern, it has been a long time since i had a pay rise, material costs are eating into whats left over.
Look forward to exchange of ideas thru this forum.
    Regards thrilly

    Hi Thrilly, welcome aboard.

I hate GST also but not paying GST could be limiting your profits?

After all the government can only take so much.

I think you should talk to an Accountant.

Perhaps by the time you lodge all your expenses which come off your turnover, you might not be paying as much GST as you think.

Plus you might have to look at your pricing. If your costs are going up, so should your charges.

You should not sacrifice your hard earn money to keep your quotes down due to rising expenses.

It all starts with what do you think you are worth???

P.S. I can recommend a good Accountant if you need one.
