Hi everyone, I have recently started my new business after around 4 years of trading on ebay. I have had a website made and now sell brand name electronic goods (speakers, headphones etc.) Although im still trading on ebay my fees are up around $400 per month but sales are pretty good. Now i know SEO is necessary but i cant justify moving away from ebay when ill be paying the same in fees but getting much more traffic. I cant really afford to be paying $700-800 per month with my current turnover. Does anyone out there offer cheaper SEO or can give me some advice?

Also if you could head over to my website and like my facebook page that would be great :)

    Hi Muges,

Its going to be tough matching the traffic you get through ebay. Couldn’t you charge more on ebay to cover the costs?

    Hi Muges,
Don’t stop trading on ebay, you’ve built a following there – instead use it to build traffic to your website.
When you post products to customers include a note about the website and an incentive to visit (ie discount on first order, valuable content, specials).
I’m not sure if it’s still possible but create a link in the auction to invite visitors to your ebay “About Me” page. On your about me page link to your website to increase traffic.

We run three SEO packages to cater for different budgets, so you can definitely start on a smaller scale and stop/start as budget allows. Your rankings and search traffic don’t stop when your SEO campaign does. Even just running an SEO campaign for a few months will provide long term traffic.

    Cheers
    Chris

What you need is a digital strategy – SEO may be a part of that. Since you don’t have a marketing budget you are really going to have to think outside the square, and build your business slowly but surely.

You have asked this question before – no good answers there?
