    Hi everyone,

I am hopefully going to be arranging a photography session shortly for my baby accessories products to use on my website. I’m going to use family members as my models but was wondering if you think I would need permission from the brand of clothing they will be wearing in the photos (or am I completely overthinking this?). I guess because my product compliments their clothes I don’t want to run into trouble. Thanks!

You’re not reproducing their logo on your website or somewhere.

You’re taking photos of people, who happen to be wearing clothing (that may or may not show the logo, I don’t know).

But a photograph of a trademarked logo will cause no problem at all.

People don’t get sued for doing the wrong thing. People get sued after they ignore requests from the copyright holder to stop doing the wrong thing.

Worst case, you’ll get a friendly-worded letter from them.

Thank you, yes that’s what I thought, I can’t exactly have them only wearing the accessories!
