Hello everyone
I have started my own independent bird store called Perth Birds. Based in Perth Western Australia. I have owned and raised various parrots for over 15 years and a near death experience 18 months ago has made me realise that I needed to do this.
For myself and for the life of parrots in our state
I am starting off very small and taking my time to grow a customer base and hopefully within a year I will have my own store front.
I have many ideas running through my head but financially I can only follow through with a few.
Anyway just a quick intro. Look forward to learning more and meeting some new people.

Hi Perth Birds,

While reading your intro I could not go past the fact that you have been raising and looking after Parrots for over 15 years… that’s a lot of experience that you must have accumulated over that time.

Have you considered sharing that knowledge by way of a e-book or checklist of some sort. “10 things to check if your parrot is is not talking”, “How to increase your breeding chances by 50% with these 3 simple strategies” or “The 3 grains that you should never feed your parrot at all costs”.

Having had pets in the past (now replaced by kids) I would have loved to have your experience on hand say when my pet got sick etc… You could sell the ebook to generate more income or use it as a lead generator on your website.

For me the problem is the answer.

I would find out the top 10 problems that Parrot owners face (you could draw from your own experience but I would not assume anything). I would ask your community to list there top 3 problems first. Once you get a big enough sample size you can find out the top 10… balance this from your own experiences and your ready to go.

You can then find someone to do a nice graphic of the ebook cover on fiverr.com. As the name suggests you can get that done for only $5 USD. That way it will look professional and it will add to the perceived value of its content.
