I am coordinating an event for the Sex & the City 2 movie premiere in Lismore NSW to raise money for the Cancer Council and will sell 400 tickets.
To help cover costs, and therefore maximise money raised, I am seeking sponsorship. I am targeting local businesses whose products/services are in line with the movie target audience eg: wine bar, cosmetics, retail (shoes/clothing), gym.

I would like some feedback on the amount and benefits.
Q: seeking $1000 – is this too little, too much?
Q: any other benefits that you can think of which add value but don’t actually cost me?

    – logo on tickets, posters, website, Facebook event
    – exclusivity (eg: only wine bar/gym/retailer present)
    – option to include item in gift bag
    – logo on plasma screens while SATC2 trailer plays during networking time
    – can provide a prize to sponsor the “Carrie/Miranda/Samantha/Charlotte Award” for woman epitomising this character. Likewise “Manolo” award for best shoes
    – tickets to be sold in store
    – acknowledgement during speeches
    – custom designed and produced pull up banner for display in store prior to event and at event (eg: logo in pink, “proudly supporting…”
    – press release for distribution to local media and to businesses database
    – may be tax deductible

I need to send the proposal out this week as the event is 3 June and I need a few weeks for printing etc.
