Problem I found with UPS, is they don’t list all suburbs where many share a postcode. Check 2210, 2145, 2770 for example.
This can result in the sender not being able to find your suburb. UPS claim it is no problem , just use the one listed on their site.
This is fine, as long as both suburbs don’t have a street with the same name.
A scenario:
OS company uses the UPS website to book the delivery.
Your suburb cannot be found, so the one with the same postcode is used, as per UPS instructions.
You track the delivery to AU, where is it ‘delivered’ – but not to you.
From here, UPS blame the sender for using an incorrect address.
Better option if your suburb does not exist in the UPS system, use another courier – but email UPS to let them know they have lost money due to their system.
I have been at them for 6 months to fix it (cheaper than DHL for the same delivery) as the sender happily won’t use a dodgy address.
