    Does anybody else have this problem? It is so frustrating!
    Our site (http://www.tlclatexpillows.com.au) is Magento platform and when customers enter a discount code, they see a green tick and the words ‘code applied’. After that pfftt – nothing! The next screen shows the cart, but no mention of the discount, or price change. They are then expected to take a leap of blind faith and proceed all the way through checkout, before receiving an automated order confirmation showing that the discount was indeed applied.
    Naturally some customers abandon the cart in a fit of pique and others ring wanting to know what they are doing wrong.’Nothing’, we tell them, ‘once you see that green tick, proceed through checkout and we promise you will receive the discount’.
    Is this a common Magento idiosyncrasy? And if so is it fixable? Or is it just the way our particular site had been built and so definitely fixable. We have been living with this for over 2 years now and goodness knows how many orders we have lost because of it. Any help greatly appreciated. Tim from TLC.

    Hey Tim,

    It’s actually a problem with your template for the Shopping Cart page (where your user is entering the coupon). Normally this page displays the Totals for the cart, including the discounts from any coupons and promotions.
    Below is an example of what this page should look like, notice the totals in the bottom right corner.

    Your developer has removed these totals for some reason, because they are included as standard with the default Magento theme.
    I’d contact your developer and ask them to reinsert these totals
