Hi Everyone.
I am seeking advice or recommendations on a quality proofreading service or advanced spell checking program.
There is a high volume of material so I am looking for quality service at an economical price.
Interested in your thoughts.
Cheers Lu

You could try submitting a job lead at A Clayton’s Secretary. Many Virtual Assistants provide this service and some are really very good. Most will do a sample for you and provide you with a quote before they proceed with proofreading.
One of my friends tried using an advanced spell checking program (I can’t remember which program he used) and it caused so many problems. You never know, you might be able to find one better that the one he used.

Hi Lu,
This is my first time visiting the forum, after being an avid reader of the Flying Solo newsletter for the last year or so.
I’ve run my own solo business, Punctuate Writing & Editing, for almost two years now, and have dealt with a range of clients, from university professors to doctors and authors. All of my clients have been very happy with my personal service, pricing and efficiency. I’d love to talk with you regarding your project. Please visit my website, http://www.punctuate.com.au, for more information!
Kind regards,
Amanda

I am the Manager of Exact Editing, a freelance professional proofreading and editing business. I primarily work on large-scale projects/reports for companies such as Mercer, who represent various Commonwealth Government departments.
Many of these projects require 24-hour turnaround times, which Exact Editing is pleased to be able to offer to all our clients, at a very competitive rate. As such, I believe I can more than meet your requirement regarding a high volume of material and would be pleased to discuss your requirements further and negotiate a price with you for your project.
Please don’t hesitate to visit my website, http://www.exactediting.com.au, if you would like any further information. I look forward to being of assistance to you.
Kind regards
Susie Faulkner

Hi Lu
Haven’t posted for a while as I have just completed a six month stint as Acting Principal of a NSW Community College but am now available for Marketing, Database Development, Website Content, Copywriting & Book Editing, Proofreading etc.I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Editing and Publishing from Macquarie University and would be happy to give you a obligation free quote for proofreading if you would like to send me a sample – the quality of material submitted can vary tremendously – so is best to look at a sample first. Also helpful to know how much material there is and whether you want full service editing etc.
I can be contacted on email at lindy@lindyferris.com.
Hope to hear from you.
Cheers
