Home › Forums › Money matters › Question re cars where a new company is forming and taking fleet cars from anoth
So there is a restructuring going on. A new company is forming to trade in 2022. Possibly taking 2 fleet cars with them.
This is in NSW so falls under the RMS (Roads and Maritime Services), the body for car registrations in the state of NSW.
Does there need to be a “transfer of ownership”? With this in mind would there have to be forms lodged with the RMS similar to the sale of a car? Also possibly fees and charges for the transfer?
Is there possibly a way of getting around this? Maybe the existing company “leases” the car to the new company?
TIA for any help or suggestions.
