    Hi guys,

    We are in the process of creating our own product, which will be in a bottle with a label. Do I need to register the label with anyone? The brand on the label will be different from our business name.

    Hi Monika,

    Depending on what’s in the bottle, you might need to register the product… for example, if it’s a therapeutic good (i.e. has medicinal properties).

    Check with the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority – http://www.apvma.gov.au.

    You may also want to consider trade mark protection for the brand name.

    I know nothing about aromatherapy for animals. Trade marks, now I know a bit about that. :)
