    Hi all

I’ve recently launched a new company specialising in software & IT services for SMEs. Our initial software product looks really good, there’s a market for it (some industry knowledge & feedback confirms) and there’s a business plan and roadmap for some really nice features and service offerings that will take it all to the next level. Market competition is understood and is being dealt with appropriately. It all sounds good on paper and everyone I’ve spoken to agrees.

My two biggest issues right now are being able to fund the necessary development to get to a point we can reach profitability and the amount of time I’m spending on the planning, management and execution of the short to mid-term goals. I’m looking at various funding options to cover the bank balance, but realistically I’m a person short. I’m sure there are people out there who have the knowledge I need, perhaps the money, would agree with the business model and could be interested in being involved – but where do you find these people? Unfortunately my connections haven’t found the right person yet but I’ve floated the idea around and hoping something might stick.

Does anybody have any other suggestions of where I could be looking?

    Hi Daniel,

Just doing a followup on whether you have had any success in getting investment or a knowledgeable business partner? I have looked at your website and would like to discuss a bit further.

    Regards
    Kerry

Commercialising ideas will hopefully start working in November. It should provide 50%/50% matching fund for up to 250k – although it can reduce your expenses in half – there is still need to find a matching fund. If your activity involves R&D spending (from your post it may) you can use an R&D tax incentive as well. Please let know if any of the above are of interest – as I have been working on projects involving these government schemes in the past

    best regards
