    Hi everyone,

Just have a particular SEO question I need help with if possible. My designer and I need to clarify if our cufon font is crawlable by google? We sort of know basic SEO but hoping an expert here can give us the answer. Thanks in advance!

For example our H1 looks like this due to cufon font

    EXAMPLE KEYWORD

Will google index class=”double-colour” or EXAMPLE KEYWORD

Are we actually doing it wrong, should it be:

Thanks guys we’re really new to this and hope someone good help out.

    Cheers!

It wont affect it at all.

Google does not index the name of a class, it indexes the text rendered. Which in your case is EXAMPLE KEYWORD .

I am quite surprised your designer does not know this.

    With respects…

You reference an HTML coding error that you would not expect a 6 year old to make.

Aside from that, nothing in your post will have any impact on your site’s ranking in the SEs.

What SEO assistance do you want from this Forum?

Can’t your web designer help? If not, why not?

Just to answer the ACTUAL question, Cufon fonts are crawlable and do not have a negative impact on SEO, and they look sexy, so will have a positive impact on your readers. There is nothing wrong with tagging them in a class, and making them rainbow coloured if you want.

    +1

But I agree with the other posts, your designer should know this already.
