For those who have all wanted the name of the Sri Lanka and/or Fji contacts, might I suggest you all form your own group, maybe a facebook closed group and then combine ideas and also to assist you in meeting minimum order requirements if you find that an issue. I know for many products they sometimes have quite high min order needs and by group purchasing, you may be able to overcome this.

Also at end of season one may have need of stock and another may have excess. Sort of your own co-op!

There is also a great company based in Tempe, Sydney called http://www.blankclothing.com.au who have great prices and a large range of Oz-made clothing…including organic!

Just a quick note re the above…. taking a look at it, most of their clothing is NOT Australian made, although there may be some in there that is. They do specifically have some organic cotton kids clothing but it’s not Australian made.

Also, I can guarantee you 100% that this company is NOT an importer/manufacturer or the like of any of their products, they are are a distributor mainly selling to corporates, small business, sports teams etc. Everything is from the same standard industry suppliers that the promotional products / screen printing industry uses.

That’s not a problem as long as you are aware of it, but just do be aware you are buying from a “middle man” who has an extra margin to put on, and if you were looking to resell yourself in whatever format I suggest you probably need to buy from one step higher up the chain.

    Hi There

At the moment it is all “research research research”.

    Patty

Patty, part of your market research should be keeping an eye on the views of your topic post! Lots of people [women] most likely wanting to do something similar.

I have purchased in the past from party plan designers of children’s clothes when my four daughters were children. Back then there was no such thing as the Internet!

All the best with your new venture.

    Hi Patty,
I am about to start a small business and am also looking for someone to manufacture a specialised type of baby sleeping bag.
I am just wondering if you might have found any useful baby clothing type manufacturers in your search and could share?

    Many thanks
    Kelly

Also did you guys end up setting up a facebook group?

    Thanks

instead of bumping an old thread and spamming the boards, which the poster may not even see, don’t you think sending them a private massage would have been a better option?

ETA – yes, I understand the irony of me posting this and not sending a PM, but a lot of us are probably thinking the same thing.

Flower Child, no I feel like an idiot! I just click on New Posts and look to what I can add value to but forget to check the dates!

Perhaps the mods could look at changing new posts so that it only shows threads created in the last week/fortnight/month?

    Hi Dane,
Sorry for the slow response. It’s not just you :) this old thread issue has come up a bit recently and we’re researching some ways to help minimise it. Hopefully we can implement some tools soon once we define how it will best work.
    Cheers
