    Hi,

A friend of mine has become the Australian distributor for a conferencing and event app called “crowdcompass”

Has anyone seen this before? I would be interested in your thoughts. I think it looks like a good product and i havn’t been able to find any compeditor’s.

Any conferencing people in flyingsolo think its a good idea?

    Cheers

    Sue

http://crowdcomms.com.au/ popular in the USA and now available in Australia

http://www.eventapps.com.au/ been around for a while

you can create your own also here for free http://mobile.conduit.com/Home.aspx although this may not do exactly the same thing

    more apps here
    http://www.forumgroupevents.com.au/event-management/top-10-ipad-apps-for-event-managers/

    there is alot out there

I myself create not an app but a toolbar – which has over 150 RSS feeds for the events industry media and discount houses, a podcast player and social media connection, it even has a room layout maker http://eventschoice.ourtoolbar.com/ (comes with uninstaller)

    also scroll down a bit

I’m actually in the process of creating a iPhone application similar to this. Not for conferencing, but for student events.

    Is crowdcompass patented?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I think the difference between the above products and the CrowdCompass one is that the rest are just HTML webpages optimised for smartphones.

CrowdCompass is actually a native application loaded onto the phone from the app store that can interact wirh the phones camera (QR codes for an example) and the GPS (tell you where you are on the floorplans) and a whole range of other value adds.

    Cheers

    Sue
