Square vs Stripe

I have a personal bias against Square (they won’t allow me to have an account with them because of my name and they can’t be bothered trying to fix the problem since individual people are too hard to deal with), so I go with Stripe and Paypal and am very happy with both

Yep Stripe is the better of the 2. But if your targeting Australia then why not use an Australian payment provider like eWAY or SecurePay. A bit tougher to get setup maybe but better transaction rates.

Use Aussie local payment gateway for the start.

eWay has a good anti-fraud system and it’s merchant fees are very competitive – 1.5% + 25c.

For reference, Stripes merchant fees are 1.75% + 30c
