Email newsletter provider Mailchimp has released a new ‘lite’ version called TinyLetter.
It allows free sending of newsletters, subscriptions and can even setup paid subscriptions – where people signup to your newsletter service for a fee.
see the FAQ for more.
I think this is a cool service and pretty awesome considering it’s free.

1. Is there advertising on the emails sent?
I would assume so – how can they pay for the service, and
2. You can’t use your domainSaying that, it looks like it could be a great service keeping those points in mind.

I thought the new feature with TinyLetter was allowing the pay-for feature. I’m no Mailchip expert by any means!

I think so too Ray. I can’t see any mention of advertising in the FAQ and assume they are doing the ‘nice guy’ thing.
With the domain issue, it’s just a one-step offsite field to complete so that shouldn’t be seen as too much a negative imo

January 20, 2012 at 3:51 am #1084803Up::0I use mailchimp for free as well, it’s really good, I’ve been telling people to jump on it. The only downside is they put an affiliate link and logo in your emails which you can remove if you upgrade but that’s a fair trade I think.
