Oh my god… are you for real? Seriously….
    so this ranking is Objective?

So this first company in Australia is:

    ltseo.com.com

they are targeting the keyword “SEO company”

mmm they are not 1st for that keyword

    they also are targeting

mm they are not in top 5 for that keyword

Another great SEO company that still can’t get 1st position in the SEO industry. Funny…

I just wrote a post about this in my blog… but anyway, these are some interesting links

    http://www.seoconsultants.com/topseos/alerts
    http://dawnwentzell.com/scammers-spammers-snakeoil-salesmen/
    http://www.hobo-web.co.uk/seo-blog/index.php/topseos-awards/
    http://searchmarketingwisdom.com/2010/06/topseos-continues-deceptive-practices/

by the way, did you know that it cost 1K per month to be reviewed in the “category” you want to be reviewed?

    *_* nice money cow.

I do a report where I analyse around 1,000 search phrases related to Australia and website development. I calculate ranking based on the websites that consistently show up high in the most popular searches. So I feel it is a lot more objective as it’s based on data and maths.

    LTSEO came 18,445th

That really surprises me for a PR7 website. I checked the data and they only showed up once in all the search phrases, and at 63rd position. Something strange going on here, the website is not that bad.

My own PR2 website gets me to 4,693rd and it’s less than a year old.

Some of their recognised top 20 businesses do correlate to the top ones in my report. These are the ones that came in my top 100.

    Exa 2nd
    Net Starter 5th
    Web Profits 31st
    Kanga International 81st

The online version of my report (see signature for link) shows the top 100 and you can search the 27k websites it discovered to see where you or your competitor is placed.

    gosh… solid list

one of my sites “don’t rank”

SEOpack.com.au …. mmm pity, because is first in Google for SEO packages so I guess it has achieved it’s objective.

but I feel better, because I realize YOUR site
    http://website-advantage.com.au
    doesn’t rank either…

I wonder if I should make my own ranking system or instead try to improve my own ranking? ;)

    Lol… decisions , decisions decisions…

Good observation, the report is primarily focused on website design keywords and locations in Australia, in fact, out of the 1,000 keywords, only 5 include SEO in them. Time to expand my list even more!

C’mon Gab, The Sight Has Not Reached Its Objective?

Considering the sight is a PR7 it’s definitely an authority sight and ranks on page #1 on Google for the majority of all it’s targeted keywords, (Not Amateur Keywords Either). Yes it is on page #2 for SEO, but all in all it’s an authority site giving it credibility.

There will always be bias and unbiased opinions about any site and it’s up to the individual to do their research whether it’s a recommendation or not.

I found them on page 6 for ‘SEO’, then I signed out and they jumped to page 2. I didn’t realise personalisation had that big effect!

They really focus on International SEO and not Australian specific Website Design or Development. That explains why they tanked in my report.

    Gab,

Those posts sound like their competition…

Topseos charges 1K per month for you to be ranked in the category you want to be ranked. Where is the fairness there?

So if I want to be ranked as Link Building service, I need to pay them 1K each month, yeah?

    mmm yes… 100% objective I guess.

Is it fair that the top Affiliate Networks in Australia are also reviewed and categorised here as well? I think it’s fair!

If a successful business or company with a happy customer base has the revenue and reputation to be there, why not? Businesses pay more for their PPC campaigns on a monthly basis.

is not about paying for PPC…. is about how fair can it be if not everyone is open to join?

    I’m curious about your point…

If you are an SEO company that can’t afford to pay 1K for each category… that means you don’t rank.

    mmm fair is it?

As far as I remember, REAL review websites don’t charge people to join.

But hey… if you believe TopSEOs.com REALLY rank’s companies for how good they are in SEO and not for how much money then can spend…. well ;) good luck.

That’s business Gab! It’s the same scenario if a business can’t afford TV marketing. This does not mean though that you discredit the businesses that can afford TV marketing.

If they have that type of revenue they must be doing something successful in regards to a satisfied customer base.

    Hi WAHE,

I’m just curious as to what your agenda is for pushing this top seo’s site? You seem very set on defending it “despite the evidence” that it isn’t a genuine ranking of top SEO’s, rather it’s simply an advertising forum for SEO companies which I believe it is. Of course they are doing something right – making gullible people think it means something, and then cashing in on people being gullible.

Of course advertising is part of business – and it’s not about crediting or discrediting those who advertise. But you can’t have it each way – it’s either a site to advertise your SEO services on, or an independent rating of SEO companies. And anything that requires a large fee isn’t independent, I think that is Gab’s point. I may be the best and most successful SEO in the world, but unless I give them $1000 they will ignore me. I may be no good at all, but if I pay I get ranked. So it’s not really a valid rating site, just something to fool gullable people into thinking the ranking means something.

My question to you WAHE is why are you always so quick to knock almost all SEO tactics as well as most of the SEO people on this site at every opportunity, yet are so keen to promote this SEO company rating site?

Are you getting some sort of kickback from them?

Or do you have a bee in your bonnet with the SEO specialists on this forum and want to in your mind “prove” they aren’t any good because they aren’t on a particular list?

    Matt

PS: On Tiggerito’s site my “Holding Page” website ranks position 2003 – not bad for a one page coming soon page! Like your site mate, haven’t come across it be before but it’s really interesting as a concept!
